Our Story
Born from the coast.
Est. 2018
Founded on a pitch by the pier.
It all started by simply gathering people together to play soccer. The response was immediate—so many players and coaches wanted to get on the pitch that we decided to create our own local league to give everyone a place to play. It was a self-made community effort from day one.
Eventually, we changed gears and focused on a bigger vision: establishing a true club. That spark grew into the idea for FC Santa Monica, slowly evolving from a local league into a structured football club. Seven years after those first games, we began actively looking for players and building out our squads. What started as our own private league has grown into a club built by the community, just for Santa Monica.
